Mariette Dubbeld

Mariette studied Law at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and worked as a lawyer in both the Netherlands and Hungary. Her career teaching Dutch began in 1996 and since then she has taught students in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Hungary and Switzerland. She worked as a teacher of Dutch at the Inter Community School Zurich and was involved in a work group for MYP development. In addition she gained extensive personal knowledge and experience of IB thanks to her own four children who took IBMYP and IBDP.

Intensieve en persoonlijke begeleiding bij afstandsonderwijs voor Nederlandstalige IB-leerlingen

IBDP Dutch

16-19 years

From € 3.550,- per academic year

The IBDP-programs are fully in line with the curriculum and final attainment levels set by the IBO (International Baccalaureate Organization). There are weekly Videocalls, one on one, with a designated tutor. The teaching materials are challenging, efficient and goal oriented.

Pre-IBDP Dutch

11-16 years

€ 2.800,- per academic year

The pre-IBDP program focuses on the philosophy of international education, in particular on IBMYP. The main objective is that students feel secure and confident in their command of the Dutch language, and that they develop their imagination by reading and analysing literary texts.
This program also fits students who do not visit an IB-school.

Other services

€ 80,- per hour

IBID is available for feedback and support beyond our tutoring programs. This may be for students as well as for teachers and educational institutions who need help with IB Dutch related questions.

Experiences with IBID

When I started working with IBID back in 2011, I quickly realized that students are taking the right decision to work with Josephine and her team. Their knowledge of the course and excellent support makes the whole Self-Taught experience a very productive journey for both students and coordinators. I wish the same existed for other languages!

Distance learning requires discipline and independence. That was hard in the beginning, but I learned to ask for help when I needed it. The teaching material is really clear and was developed especially by and for IBID. The study planner is also very useful; and although you and the teacher agree on a planning, it can almost always be adapted. I felt very supported by my teacher, who was always looking out for what works best for me.
