Annelies holds a Masters degree Dutch at Leiden University and an upper secondary teaching qualification. She majored in historical linguistics and language variation, and completed the minors Second Language Acquisition and Children’s Literature. She worked as a Dutch teacher for over twenty years at various international schools in Germany and Switzerland. Here she gained extensive experience in tutoring IB students and developing the curriculum for the pre-IBDP and IBDP programs. After returning to The Netherlands, she worked for four years as IB-Dutch A teacher at AICS (Amsterdam International Community School). Annelies currently coordinates the Dutch A Diploma Programma at The International School of the Hague. She is also a language trainer and examiner for the CNAVT (Dutch Language Union).
