Annelies holds a Masters degree Dutch at Leiden University and an upper secondary teaching qualification. She majored in historical linguistics and language variation, and completed the minors Second Language Acquisition and Children’s Literature. She worked as a Dutch teacher for over twenty years at various international schools in Germany and Switzerland. Here she gained extensive experience in tutoring IB students and developing the curriculum for the pre-IBDP and IBDP programs. After returning to The Netherlands, she worked for several years as IB Dutch A teacher at AICS (Amsterdam International Community School) and as coordinator of the Dutch A Diploma Programme at The International School of the Hague.
