She worked as a teacher in the Dutch secondary curriculum until 1997, when she switched over to the IB-educational system. She founded IBID in 2000. Josephine worked as IB Dutch teacher and SSST supervisor at UWCSEA (United World College of South East Asia) in Singapore, ZIS (Z\u00fcrich International School) and AICS (Amsterdam International Community School).
